Dunkin’ is giving away one million free coffees to customers across the UK today. The promotion, announced via Instagram Story on Monday, features a flyer with an iced coffee photo and the text: “WANTED. Crime: Causing daily dependency. Status: Active.” The bottom reads: “Bounty — 1,000,000 free coffees. Tuesday. Turn yourself in to Dunkin’.”
To claim a free coffee, customers must order through the Dunkin’ app and enter the promo code “COFFEEISFREE” in the Offers & Rewards section after 9:30 a.m. ET. However, Cold Brew and Extra-Large Hot Coffee are excluded, and each customer is limited to one free drink.
The giveaway comes ahead of Dunkin’ bringing back its viral 48-ounce drink buckets on May 22. According to food blogger Markie Devo, customers can order an iced coffee or refresher in the massive Beverage Buckets, which feature a unique lid, handle and straw. The price is unknown, and availability is limited to participating locations while supplies last.
During a test in Massachusetts and New Hampshire stores in February, the buckets were priced at $8.99 for coffee and $9.49 for a refresher. Some customers were thrilled by the large caffeine intake, while others expressed frustration over the limited release.
Dunkin’ has also introduced other new items, including the Dunkin’ Dirty Soda, which combines Pepsi, coffee milk and sweet cold foam, as part of its summer menu. Additionally, the chain has launched Black Cherry refreshers and an Oreo-themed line-up of espresso, matcha and frozen drinks. In January, Dunkin’ debuted its first Protein Milk, offering 15 grams of protein per medium beverage.
