Luke Littler has agreed a record £20million deal with his dart supplier Target Darts, the most lucrative in the sport's history. The 18-year-old, who won the World Championship in January, has renewed his contract with the company.
The Press Association understands the deal, which includes potential earnings, bonuses, and a percentage of sales, is worth £20million over 10 years. Littler's branded darts set and magnetic board have been bestsellers in high street shops.
Littler said: 'Target has believed in me from day one and I'm delighted that there are many more years to come. From my playing career to my product range, we've built everything together.' He has already won almost £2.8million in prize money in two years on tour.
Target chairman Garry Plummer recalled meeting Littler at a youth qualifier when he was 12: 'I saw something special in him and saying yes was easy. His achievements on and off the oche have been remarkable.'
