Tonight's Lotto draw could see a £2m jackpot awarded to players, marking the first draw under the new 'two chances to win' system. Starting tonight, every Lotto draw on Wednesdays and Saturdays will consist of two separate draws, but players only need one ticket to enter both.
In the updated game, players purchase their £2 ticket as usual. For the first draw, 59 balls are placed in the machine, with six main balls and one bonus ball drawn. Matching two or more numbers on your Lotto line wins a cash prize. Then, a second set of 59 balls is used for the second draw, following the same rules: matching two or more numbers from the same line also wins cash.
Matching six numbers in either draw earns a share of the jackpot. Matching five numbers plus the bonus ball wins £1m, while matching five main numbers awards £1,000. Both draws are scheduled for 8pm, with the Thunderball draw at 8:15pm.
