Prezzo's 99p Blue Monday Deal Returns for One Day Only on January 19
Prezzo's 99p Blue Monday Menu Returns January 19

Italian restaurant chain Prezzo has announced the return of its hugely popular Blue Monday deal, offering selected main courses for just 99p for a single day this month.

How to Claim the 99p Prezzo Deal

The offer is exclusively available on Monday, January 19 – the date dubbed Blue Monday, considered the most depressing day of the year due to post-Christmas finances and winter weather. To qualify, diners must first download a unique discount code from the official Prezzo app. A table must be pre-booked, and each guest is required to purchase a drink from the menu, excluding tea and coffee.

The promotion has important limitations: it is valid for a maximum of 12 people per bill and cannot be combined with any other Prezzo offers or vouchers.

What's on the Blue Monday Menu?

The special menu features a range of classic Italian dishes at three different price points. A selection of seven mains will be available for the headline price of 99p each.

Dishes for 99p:

  • Arrabbiata Pasta
  • Spaghetti Bolognese
  • Spaghetti Carbonara
  • Pepperoni Pizza
  • The Veggie One Pizza
  • Margherita Pizza
  • Plant-based Spaghetti Bolognese

Three further dishes are priced at £2.99 each: Double Pepperoni Pizza, Marry Me Chicken Pasta, and Ham and Mushroom Pizza.

For £5 each, customers can choose from The Prezzo Burger, The Spicy One Pizza, Very Meaty Calzone, Meat Lovers Pizza, Spaghetti With King Prawns, or Tuscan BBQ Chicken Pizza.

Restaurant Revival and Industry Context

The deal comes as the casual dining sector shows signs of renewed activity. In a related development, it has been confirmed that celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is set to relaunch his Jamie’s Italian chain in the UK next spring, six years after its collapse into administration.

Interestingly, this revival is happening as part of a partnership with the same restaurant group that owns Prezzo. The new Jamie’s Italian is planned for London’s Leicester Square, marking a return for a brand that once operated around 40 UK sites.

Prezzo, which operates 96 restaurants across the UK, promoted the Blue Monday event on Instagram, stating: "BLUE MONDAY IS BACK and no, this is not a drill... Because the 'worst day of the year' deserves seriously good food (for 99p). Tables will go fast."

With such deep discounts on offer, customers are advised to book their tables promptly via the Prezzo website or app to avoid disappointment on January 19.
