A crash has blocked a major road in Toxteth this morning, with drivers urged to avoid the area. Merseyside Police were called to Princes Road westbound, heading into Liverpool city centre, at 8.40am after reports of a two-car collision.

The crash occurred near the junction with Upper Warwick Street. Emergency services remain at the scene. There are no reports of injuries at this stage, but the westbound lane of Princes Road is blocked.
