Young Boy Critically Injured in Bonfire Night Incident

A four-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after being struck by a lit firework during Bonfire Night celebrations in Lancashire.

The serious incident occurred in the Elm Street area of Burnley, prompting an emergency police response to reports of anti-social behaviour involving fireworks.

Police Hunt and Public Appeal

Lancashire Police have released photographs of a young man they urgently wish to speak to in connection with the attack. A police spokesperson stated: "We are aware this area has seen previous anti-social use of fireworks but this year has gone too far, resulting in a child being hospitalised."

The force is appealing directly to the community, adding: "We are urging the community to do the right thing and tell us who he is."
