Salford man charged with arson after Bolton house fire

Callum Wilson, a 29-year-old from Salford, has been charged with arson in connection with a fire at a house in Bolton. The incident occurred on Eastgrove Avenue, Sharples, at approximately 9:20pm on Wednesday, June 10.

Arrest and charge

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers arrested a man on suspicion of arson following the fire. In a statement issued on June 21, GMP confirmed that Callum Wilson, of Duchy Road, Salford, had been charged with arson.

Wilson is scheduled to appear before Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Monday morning, June 22.

A GMP spokesperson said: "Callum Wilson, of Duchy Road, Salford, has been charged with arson following an incident at Eastgrove Avenue, Bolton, on June 10. He will appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning. Emergency services attended the scene and thankfully no-one was injured."
