Emergency services raced to the scene following frantic calls from residents who reported hearing a massive explosion that knocked people to the ground. Fire crews discovered seven fire engines were required to tackle the resulting blaze, which left multiple vehicles charred and debris scattered across the road.
Eyewitness Rajdhar Pandey described the terrifying moment the explosion occurred. "I saw the flames from my house and then came down to see what had happened," he told reporters. "There was a loud explosion. I live nearby." Another witness reported hearing a "window-shattering sound" before seeing flames engulf multiple vehicles.
Casualties and Ongoing Investigation
Multiple casualties have been transported to Delhi's LNJP hospital according to ANI reports, with medical staff working tirelessly to treat the injured.
