Seagull Snatches Squirrel, Crashes Into Family Car

A shocking incident unfolded on a road in Sauchie, Scotland, when a seagull snatched a squirrel and flew into a family's car. Callum McAlister, 36, was driving home from IKEA with his girlfriend and two-year-old daughter on Alloa Road on June 14 when the predator struck his windscreen, leaving it blood-stained.

Dashcam Captures the Moment

Dashcam footage shows the seagull picking up the squirrel and then crashing into the car. McAlister described the event: "We saw it as it started to take off in front of that other car in the video, and we were both in disbelief about what the seagull was carrying. Then, not long after, it strikes the windscreen."

He added that there was no sound on the video, but the impact produced a big thud and a long red streak on the glass. Fortunately, the streak was not captured by the dashcam.

Aftermath and Reactions

McAlister noted they were shocked but realized the seagull likely bounced off the car, while the squirrel took the brunt of the impact. "The seagull was probably fine. We went back to the road and it was nowhere to be seen," he said.

He also mentioned he had only installed the dashcam two weeks prior, calling it a "sound investment" as no one would have believed the story without proof.

Social Media Buzz

The video was shared on Reddit, where users expressed amazement. User Naughteus_maximus called it a "Top 3 contender for dashcam video of the year," while Advanced_Arm1531 joked, "Drive through fast food."
