Tragedy at Texas Landscaping Business Leaves Three Dead
A horrific incident of workplace violence unfolded in San Antonio, Texas, over the weekend, resulting in the deaths of three employees at a local landscaping supplies company. The suspected gunman, a fellow employee, was later found deceased in a nearby wooded area.
Saturday Morning Shooting
According to authorities, police were called to Mission Landscaping Supplies at approximately 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, 8th November 2025. Upon arrival, officers discovered the bodies of three colleagues who had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
The victims have been identified as a 48-year-old man, a 38-year-old man, and a 24-year-old woman. At this early stage, their specific roles within the company and their full names have not been publicly released by officials.
Intense Manhunt and Discovery of Suspect
Police swiftly identified the suspected shooter as 21-year-old Jose Hernandez, who was also employed by the landscaping business. A significant law enforcement response, including SWAT and K-9 units, was mobilised to locate him.
Residents in the vicinity were urgently advised to remain indoors as the search for the armed suspect continued. The alert was lifted around 11:40 a.m. when police confirmed that Hernandez had been found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in a patch of woods near the business.
Ongoing Investigation into Motive
San Antonio Police Chief William McManus addressed the media, stating that while the motive for the shooting is not yet known, he was able to confirm that it was not a random attack.
"I don't know the motive, but it was not random," Chief McManus said, indicating the victims were specifically targeted by their coworker. The investigation into the tragic events remains active as authorities work to piece together the circumstances that led to this fatal workplace violence.
