Three men have died after a fire broke out in a single-storey pavilion in White City, west London, on the evening of June 20, 2025. The London Fire Brigade (LFB) received 19 calls about the blaze, which started at approximately 6:52 PM on New Zealand Way.
Firefighting Response and Rescue
Around 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines were dispatched to the scene, with crews from North Kensington, Acton, Chiswick, and nearby fire stations. Firefighters rescued three men from the building, who were then treated by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. Despite efforts, two men were declared dead at the scene, and a third was taken to hospital but later died.
Official Statement
LFB Assistant Commissioner Pat Goulbourne said at the scene: "The fire involved a single-storey pavilion, with just over half of the structure damaged by the fire. Three men were rescued from the building by firefighters and treated on scene by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. Sadly, two of the men were declared dead at the scene. The third man was taken to hospital for further treatment, but was later declared dead."
Investigation Underway
The fire was extinguished by 9:25 PM. The cause is being investigated by the LFB's specialist fire investigation officers and the Metropolitan Police Service. Goulbourne confirmed that the brigade received the first of 19 calls at 6:52 PM.
