Australian social media star Indy Clinton has shared a raw and emotional moment with her followers, breaking down in tears over her anxiety about her three young children starting school.
A Milestone Met With Tears
The 28-year-old influencer, known for her relatable content, posted a candid TikTok video where she confessed to feeling completely unprepared for this new chapter. Indy admitted she did not feel ready to be a mum of school-aged children, with her eldest due to begin in just two weeks.
"I'm not ready to be a mum, sorry! I'm meant to have a child at school in two weeks and I don't even know what P&C means," a tearful Indy began, referring to the common school abbreviation for Parents and Citizens associations.
Overwhelmed by the To-Do List
Her distress grew as she listed the seemingly endless tasks required for the school term, from preparing daily lunchboxes and snacks to navigating potential volunteer commitments. "I have to do a lunchbox, a morning tea and a crunch and sip. Do I volunteer at swimming carnivals?" she asked the camera.
Academic worries also surfaced, with Indy expressing doubt about her ability to help with homework. "I can't do maths, so how do I help with homework? I genuinely don't know my times tables!" she exclaimed, highlighting a common fear among many parents.
Community Support and Relatable Content
Indy's followers quickly flooded the comments section with advice and solidarity. Suggestions ranged from practical tips like befriending more experienced mums to light-hearted encouragement about learning times tables alongside her child. One commenter humorously noted, "Oh honey, that's what tutors are for."
Indy shares her three children – Navy, 4, Bambi, 2, and Soul, 1 – with her husband Ben Azar. The couple began their relationship in 2018 and married two years later in 2020.
This is not the first time the influencer has sparked conversation with her frank posts. Earlier this month, she called out her husband Ben online after he claimed to do more housework than her. In a viral clip, Indy labelled him "delusional" and proposed creating a chore chart with gold star stickers to settle the debate, with the winner earning three hours of child-free time.
Her latest vulnerable post about school readiness has further cemented her reputation for sharing the unfiltered realities of modern parenting, resonating with thousands who face similar anxieties.
