Perrie Edwards was still nursing a wedding hangover, a week after her big day. The former Little Mix star brought footballer husband Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain along to her Isle of Wight festival set at the weekend, and admitted still struggling from the after effects of their Portuguese celebrations.
Perrie quipped: "I have a head cold from Satan himself because I had a bit of a rowdy weekend, so to speak, because... I got married!"
In between solo songs and Little Mix throwbacks Perrie asked for help from the crowd to get her through it: "I'm gonna need you guys to really help me out tonight. Is that okay? Can you do that? I'm being deadly serious. I won't split my wages with you - but you have to sing your hearts out."
Solo hits Forget About Us and Tears went down a storm but the Big Top tent's nearly blew off when Perrie delivered a Little Mix medley including renditions of Shout Out to My Ex and Black Magic, prompting a massive sing-along from the sun-soaked crowd.
Afterwards the South Shields belle was tempted to stick around on the South coast, perhaps permanently because hubby Alex's family are nearby in Portsmouth. She spilled: "I got here on the ferry. It was really smooth, really nice. I quite liked it. I love Portsmouth. It's lovely, especially where they live, like, right on the water bit. It's just lovely and peaceful and calm. And I was born and raised in Weymouth for quite a lot of my life as well. So, anyway, that's got little beaches and water, that's where I'm happy."
Later on Scottish headliner Lewis Capaldi got wind of the Tartan Army's unfortunate World Cup scoreline while on stage and tried to send positive vibes across the Atlantic during his set. Lewis said: "Morocco scored within one minute. That wasn't very Scottish of them. Maybe if we cheer loudly enough they'll hear us?"
The star is in the middle of a series of massive festival dates, but he's keen to get back into the studio. In fact album three could be with fans sooner than first thought. The Someone You Love star told the crowd: "This is our first UK festival appearance since we came back last year at Glastonbury. I'm going to make a new album, and I'm going to try to come back as quick as I can. But until then, I love you all so much. Thank you for making this possible."
