12 Players Quit Liverpool, Two More Set to Leave as Iraola Era Begins
12 Liverpool Players Exit, Two More May Follow Under Iraola

Liverpool have confirmed the departure of 12 players this summer, with two more potentially leaving Anfield as Andoni Iraola begins his tenure as manager. Among those departing are star players Mohamed Salah and Ibrahima Konate, along with several academy talents.

Confirmed Exits

The Reds have already bid farewell to club legend Andy Robertson, who joined Tottenham on a free transfer before representing Scotland at the World Cup. Salah revealed his exit earlier this year, ending his contract a year early for a fresh challenge. Konate is strongly linked with a free move to Real Madrid after failing to agree new terms.

Other confirmed departures include academy players Kareem Ahmed, Emmanuel Airoboma, James Balagizi, DJ Bernard, Oakley Cannonier, Josh Davidson, Terence Miles, and Jacob Poytress. Liverpool expressed gratitude to each player and wished them well for the future.

Potential Further Departures

New manager Andoni Iraola, who replaced the dismissed Arne Slot, may offload two more players as he implements his vision. Curtis Jones is rumored to be considering a departure, with Inter Milan expressing interest. The Serie A side reportedly plans to sell Davide Frattesi to Nottingham Forest to fund a move for the 25-year-old. Liverpool value Jones at around £35 million but may accept £25 million.

Federico Chiesa is another player who could leave. The Italian international has stated he will depart if Iraola does not guarantee regular first-team football. Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Chiesa said: "I repeat: I want to play. If I don't find consistency in the Premier League, I'll have to look elsewhere." He also expressed openness to a return to Juventus, admitting: "Juventus is always in my heart and I'd like to return."

Chiesa on Jones

Chiesa revealed that Jones has asked about life in Italy, adding: "I told him it's great and the weather is better than Liverpool. Jones is really strong technically, Inter are right to think about him."

With Iraola's reign beginning, Liverpool's squad is set for significant changes as the new manager shapes the team for the upcoming season.
