Davina McCall has shared an update on her health after facing a benign brain tumour and breast cancer in recent years. The 58-year-old presenter joined Jamie Theakston on Heart Radio Breakfast on Friday, where they discussed their respective health challenges.
In late 2024, McCall revealed that a rare benign colloid cyst had been discovered during a health check. Following brain surgery, she experienced memory issues similar to Alzheimer's, which concerned Theakston after receiving confusing messages from her. McCall recalled, 'I thought I had advanced Alzheimer's, I didn't know I had an operation.'
McCall was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2025, two months after a mammogram, describing it as 'being punched in the face by the universe.' She found a lump herself and urged women to check themselves regularly, noting that mammograms can miss cancers. 'If you've got something, go and get it looked at,' she cautioned.
McCall confirmed that a scan on Thursday showed 'nothing there,' indicating she is currently cancer-free. She also reflected on the difficulty of 2025, saying it was a challenging year for her and her husband, Michael Douglas.
