Former Coronation Street star Faye Brookes has delighted fans by sharing glimpses of her wedding dress choices ahead of her upcoming marriage to fiancé Iwan Lewis. The 35-year-old actress, known for playing Kate Connor on the ITV soap, will tie the knot later this month after a whirlwind romance.
Brookes took to Instagram to post a series of photos showing three stunning gowns, obscured by a cartoon filter, with the caption 'Bridal Barbie'. The first dress features a plunging sweetheart neckline and open back with a mesh train, while the second has a bandeau neckline and flowing skirt. The third image shows a strapless bodice with a voluminous skirt.
Fans were quick to compliment the actress, with one commenting: 'Even a bin bag would look stunning on you!!!! You look amazing!' Another wrote: 'Faye you look absolutely gorgeous.' A third added: 'Just pure perfection.'
Brookes and Lewis, 34, first met at drama school and later worked together on the musical Legally Blonde from 2011 to 2012. Lewis reportedly told Brookes on the first day of rehearsals that they would end up together, despite her being in a relationship at the time. The couple got engaged on New Year's Eve 2022, with Lewis proposing using a handwritten note and a platinum halo ring.
Speaking about the engagement, Brookes said: 'He took my breath away and I did get emotional. I never thought I would get my happy ending.' The couple have been dating for just 10 months before getting engaged three months into their relationship.
