Gary Barlow has condemned the 'bickering' that has plagued the X Factor, insisting the focus should be on the contestants rather than judges' arguments. Speaking on ITV's Daybreak, the Take That star said: 'I'll be honest, we're not too fond of all falling out because it's all about the contestant, it's got to be with this competition. That's what people are tuning in for.'
His comments follow an on-screen row between fellow judges Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos. Barlow is reported to have hosted a peace summit, demanding they clear the air. He added: 'They can have bickering at home every day of the week. I don't like us to be seen bickering on stage.'
Meanwhile, Kelly Rowland admitted feeling partly responsible for her acts Misha B and Sophie Habibis landing in the bottom two last week. Speaking on The Chris Moyles Show, the Destiny's Child singer said: 'I did feel part responsible for my girls being in the bottom two.' She endorsed Sophie, who was sent home while Rowland recovered from a severe throat infection in the US.
