Jessy Potts has revealed that Love Island All Stars producers cut 'quite a bit' from her now-viral video call with her father. The reality star, who appeared on Season 3 of the spin-off, opened up about the edited moment during an interview with Mecca Bingo, as reported by the Daily Star.
No More Dating Shows
Potts, who also starred in Season 11 of the original Love Island, made it clear she has no plans to return to the dating show format. 'I would love to do another TV show. I would love to do one in America as well, actually, but I'm not sure I'd be dying to do a dating show again,' she said. 'I think I would like to do a show that's completely separate and different to what I've already done. Maybe something like The Traitors, I'm A Celebrity, SAS or Strictly.'
The Viral Video Call
One of the most talked-about moments from All Stars was a candid video call between Jessy and her father. During the call, he told her she seemed 'out of character' during a confrontation with fellow contestant Lucinda Strafford. While the conversation left Jessy in tears and drew criticism from viewers, she disclosed that the final edit omitted significant portions. 'The cameras definitely cut out quite a bit of it. But I'd only really spoken to them the week before, so that's why I just wanted to find out the gossip about whether we were being perceived in the wrong way,' she explained.
Family Support
Despite the editing, Jessy emphasized her family's unwavering support. 'My dad is my biggest cheerleader, along with my mum and my siblings. My family are my biggest supporters and they always will be. There's nothing that I could do to ever disappoint them, and they're always so proud of me,' she said. 'They're so proud of how I handled myself and made it through, and it's made me a stronger person. They are my entire world.' She added, 'It was really nice to speak to them properly afterwards and to have that support because they're the best people I know.'
All Stars Winners and Aftermath
Meanwhile, Season 3 of All Stars was won by Samie Elishi and Ciaran Davies, though the couple split just weeks after filming. Speaking on a podcast, Samie explained, 'Me and Ciaran were in the very early stages of dating and we got into the real world and it just didn't work and that is absolutely fine. I understand people are invested and I respect that fully but guys it's life, things don't always work.'
The latest series of Love Island airs Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. All episodes of All Stars are available to stream on ITVX.
