Lily James has spoken candidly about her relationship with boyfriend Matt Smith in a new interview with British GLAMOUR magazine. The 26-year-old actress, known for her roles in Cinderella and War and Peace, revealed that Smith often helps her dress because she has no sense of style.
'I don’t really know how to put stuff together, sometimes I definitely look like I got dressed in the dark. But my boyfriend’s really cool so he helps me,' she told the magazine.
The couple met while filming Pride And Prejudice And Zombies last year, a parody of the classic Jane Austen novel. James plays Elizabeth Bennet, who teams up with Mr Darcy to fight a zombie apocalypse. She compared their relationship to that of Liz and Darcy, saying, 'A little bit of complication’s always good. You definitely want someone who you respect and look up to.'
James also discussed her nights out with friend Suki Waterhouse, saying she loves 'going to the pub, and finding somewhere you can dance and get down and dirty, a bit dubsteppy.' She added, 'I kind of dance like a man and hold my crotch. I’ve got a “dance face”, which I’ve noticed Suki has as well.'
The interview is accompanied by an edgy black-and-white photoshoot by David Vasiljevic, in which James wears a sheer white dress with minimal makeup and a messy top knot.
