Love Island Star Breaks Down as Couple Forced Out in Brutal Dumping
Love Island Star Cries as Couple Eliminated in Brutal Twist

Love Island fans and contestants were left stunned as the ITV show delivered yet another brutal twist. The Love Island Villa was hit by another dramatic turn of events as one couple was abruptly shown the door.

Truth or Dare Sparks Chaos

Currently in its 13th series, ITV's popular reality dating show is already serving up a host of surprises. Tonight's episode (June 12) left viewers gobsmacked with a ruthless dumping in the closing moments that reduced one contestant to tears. Tensions were already simmering from last night's episode following the aftermath of a chaotic challenge. Not satisfied with that, the programme decided to assemble the group for another risqué game to crank up the temperature even more.

As the Islanders attempt to savour their evening, they are instructed to congregate around the Fire Pit for a round of Truth or Dare. This entails them taking turns to select a question from a box and announce it to the group. The questions typically involve either snogging someone else, or calling them out. For a while, the group seem to treat the games as light-hearted fun, with Tommy dared to "Snog the Islander who you think would be a better kisser than your partner." Meanwhile, Mica is asked: "Other than your partner, who do you think would be the best in bed?" To which she replies Simba.

Predictably, the dares become more audacious and the truths increasingly revealing. The atmosphere swiftly changes and it appears we're in for a rerun of scenes from the previous night. Jasmine is quizzed, "Which Islander do you think is here for clout?" She names Ope and admits she's unsure of his sincerity. Ope then accuses Victoria of playing the biggest game. As if that doesn't stir the pot enough, moments later, Victoria is tasked with revealing a red flag about their current partner and pulls no punches, stating of Ope: "I think my current partner is a bit of a liar."

The Final Twist

With tempers flaring, the game quickly devolves into an uncomfortable tit-for-tat. As the fallout ensues, one Islander is left distinctly unimpressed by what they've heard in tonight's game. Finally, Namibia draws a truth card which reads "Rank yourselves from strongest to weakest based on connection." They immediately opt to put Sean and Lola first but a debate ensues to determine the rest of the order. As they take their places, some voice their disagreement with the ranking. In particular, Ope disputes sitting last with Victoria. Jasmine suggests Sam and Namibia are placed higher because they still have respect for each other.

But the real bombshell drops moments later, when a surprise text leaves the villa stunned. The message informs them that because they have been ranked with the least connection they are evicted from the Island immediately. While Victoria bids her farewells, Ope struggles to hold back the tears.

Fan Reactions

Fans were swift to respond to another unexpected turn of events, with one taking to social media to say: "We should've voted favourite boy and girl and lowest goes home Ope shouldn't have gone home yet. He was bringing a lot drama to the villa." Another concurred: "They should've made the bottom three couples vulnerable and let us vote on it but whatever." A different viewer commented: "Okay this episode was cruel. I don't like Ope but this episode is too much." While another posted: "Sam if you liked her that much you can leave with her."

Love Island continues Sunday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
