Maya Jama Reveals Meaningful New Tattoo Honouring Heritage

Love Island host Maya Jama has unveiled a new Arabic tattoo running down her hip, which translates to 'Love like you've never been hurt, dance like nobody's watching.' The 31-year-old first revealed the inking online in March, but it has taken on new significance following her recent split from Manchester City footballer Ruben Dias.

Jama, from Bristol, showcased the tattoo while promoting the Agent Provocateur Swim 2026 campaign. In one image, she posed in a blue bikini and high-heeled shoes; another showed her in a brown-and-white polka-dot bikini at a tennis court, with the tattoo clearly visible.

The presenter and Dias, 29, dated for around 18 months before parting ways a few weeks ago. Reports have since emerged that Dias was allegedly 'toe-dipping' during the relationship, following and unfollowing models and influencers late at night. An insider said: 'It might just seem like a simple follow online but it's the intention behind it... it's seedy.'

There is no suggestion Dias cheated or messaged the women, but the source claimed his actions 'will raise eyebrows.' The couple reportedly split as both focused on their careers: Jama is filming Celebrity Traitors and Love Island, while Dias prepares for the World Cup with Portugal.

A source told the Sun: 'Maya and Ruben had a wonderful time together... but with both of their careers going into overdrive this summer, they realised the relationship had run its course.'
