Rodger Corser Jobless After Traitors Australia Cancelled

Channel 10 has axed The Traitors Australia after just two series, leaving fans 'baffled' and host Rodger Corser without a job. The reality show, which premiered in 2022, followed a group of Faithfuls tasked with uncovering the Traitors among them while living in a luxury hotel in the Southern Highlands.

Despite its popularity with viewers, the show suffered from poor ratings. The first season averaged only 250,000 metro viewers per episode, while the second season's premiere drew just 216,000 metro viewers, according to reports. Channel 10 executives confirmed the cancellation to TV Tonight but did not rule out a future reboot.

Fans expressed their disappointment on social media, with one calling the decision 'baffling' and another lamenting the 'evil world we live in'. The UK version of The Traitors, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, has been a massive success, accumulating 34 million views on BBC iPlayer and becoming the broadcaster's biggest new launch in recent years.

The first UK series was won by Faithfuls Meryl Williams, Aaron Evans, and Hannah Byczkowski, who shared the £101,050 prize after banishing the ultimate Traitor Wilfred Webster. The BBC has confirmed a second season but has not yet announced a release date.
