The BBC has made a shock early announcement for Strictly Come Dancing 2026, revealing that an EastEnders legend will be part of the line-up. Typically, the cast is unveiled closer to the show's return in August, but on Wednesday, the broadcaster confirmed that Lacey Turner, known for playing Stacey Slater, will be taking to the dance floor this autumn.

'I am so excited to be making my way to the dance floor this year to be a part of Strictly Come Dancing!' the actress said. 'I am a huge fan and can't quite believe I will be taking part and not watching at home this year! I look forward to meeting everyone and learning a new skill!'
New Hosts for the Show
Strictly will return with a brand new set of hosts, after Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly announced during last year's series that they would be stepping down. Emma Willis, host of The Voice UK, former Strictly pro Johannes Radebe, and comedian Josh Widdicombe will be taking over, bringing a fresh feel to the beloved show.
