Victoria Beckham's Father's Day Post Includes Estranged Son Brooklyn

Victoria Beckham appeared to extend an olive branch to her eldest son Brooklyn by including him in a heartfelt Father's Day tribute to husband David Beckham. The fashion designer shared a throwback family snapshot on Instagram showing David, 51, surrounded by all four of their children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. The gesture comes despite an ongoing rift that has reportedly divided the family.

Alongside the picture, Victoria wrote: "David you truly are the best daddy. Your greatest achievement has always been our beautiful children and we love you so much. Happy Father's Day." The post marks what is understood to be David's second Father's Day since relations with Brooklyn became strained.

Brooklyn's DoorDash Ad Sparks Controversy

The emotional message comes days after Brooklyn, 27, caused a stir with a World Cup-themed commercial for American brand DoorDash. In the promotional clip, Brooklyn relaxes at home while waiting for a delivery, quipping: "You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home. It's not like I don't have tickets." He then added: "Um, it's because … it's a long story."

Fans were stunned by the apparent reference to the family drama. Brooklyn partnered with DoorDash to hide World Cup tickets around American cities for fans to claim. Being the son of a former World Cup player, he would traditionally have easy access to tickets, but the ad suggests he is avoiding matches to prevent awkward encounters with his family.

Financial Details and Family Reaction

According to reports, Brooklyn was paid at least $1 million (£753,000) for the campaign. However, Page Six reported that those close to David and Victoria were upset by the perceived dig. Neither Brooklyn nor his parents have publicly addressed the speculation.

Brooklyn's Public Statement Earlier This Year

Earlier this year, Brooklyn took to social media with a statement, writing: "I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed."

He insisted he did not want to reconcile, claiming: "For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into." He alleged his parents tried to turn him against his wife, Nicola, before their 2022 wedding, stating they attempted to force him to sign away the rights to his name and that Victoria had called him "evil" for wanting his grandmother at the top table instead of her.

Brooklyn claimed his siblings had been weaponized against him and sent to "attack" him via social media. In a shocking comment, he revealed: "My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone." He added: "I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life." He concluded: "My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family."
