Hollywood actor Tyler Mane, best known for his role as Sabretooth in the 2000 film X-Men, has been diagnosed with a 'super rare' form of breast cancer. The 59-year-old star shared the news with fans on social media, announcing that he is beginning chemotherapy treatment today, June 10.
A Brave Announcement
In a video posted to Facebook, the former wrestler said: 'I have some bad news. I start chemo today. One in 750 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and I'm one of them. Because it's rarely talked about, it's usually found at later stages and has worse outcomes. I want to change that.'
Mane, who also played Michael Myers in two Halloween films, ended the clip in a hospital ward, defiantly stating: 'F**k cancer!'
Raising Awareness
In the caption of his post, Mane explained: 'Yep, I have breast cancer. And yep, it's super rare. Only 1% of breast cancers are in men. I'll be honest, my first reaction was to keep it secret. I mean, it's kind of embarrassing. But then I found out that men are more likely to be diagnosed in advanced stages BECAUSE it's not talked about and not looked for.'
He credited his wife, Renae, for pushing him to get a lump removed, which led to early detection. 'My doctors all dismissed it, and it was only because my wife pushed me to get the lump removed that I got in early. So let's start talking about it! One in 755 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and if caught early, it's VERY treatable. Time to answer the Wake Up Call!'

Fans quickly flooded the comments with messages of support. One wrote: 'You've got this! Can't keep Sabertooth down!' Another added: 'Cancer versus Michael Myers, I don't like the outcome for the cancer.' A third commented: 'Sending prayers, just remember... You can't kill the boogeyman!!!
