Her hair transformation is tied to her upcoming film Love is Not the Answer, in which she stars alongside Steve Coogan. The inspiration came from Scandinavian actresses Bibi Andersson, Liv Ullmann, and Gunnel Lindblom, and was executed by French hairdresser John Nollet.
A source told the Daily Mail that Anderson is delighted by the positive feedback for her toned-down look, which she sees as a way to be recognised as a serious actor. The insider said: 'Part of her motivation was to strip away her Barbwire image and Baywatch personification.'
