Wolverine Game May Never Come to PC, Reports Indicate

PC gamers hoping to play Marvel's Wolverine on their platform may be disappointed, as reports suggest Sony is reconsidering its strategy of bringing PlayStation exclusives to PC. The upcoming Insomniac title, set for release on September 15, 2026, exclusively for PlayStation 5, may never leave the console.

Since 2020, Sony has gradually released several former exclusives on PC, including Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War, with the gap between console and PC releases narrowing to as little as eight months for Death Stranding 2. However, industry insiders now indicate a shift in direction.

Bloomberg's Jason Schreier stated on the Triple Click podcast that Sony appears to be backing away from putting traditional single-player exclusives on PC, focusing instead on live-service games for that platform. When asked about Wolverine specifically, Schreier said, 'I wouldn't be surprised if it never came to PC.'

Another insider, NatetheHate, echoed this sentiment on ResetEra, confirming that Sony is shifting its PC strategy. The news follows a leadership change at rival Xbox, where new CEO Asha Sharma hinted at a renewed focus on console exclusivity, though she did not confirm any specific changes.

Sony has not publicly commented on whether Wolverine will come to PC. The game remains scheduled exclusively for PlayStation 5.
