AC/DC guitarist Stevie Young has been hospitalised in Buenos Aires after feeling unwell, just days before the band's scheduled sold-out concerts in the city. The 69-year-old musician is undergoing medical tests but is reported to be in good spirits and expected to perform.
According to a statement from the event's promoter, Young was admitted to a local hospital as a precaution after not feeling well. The cause of his condition has not been specified. A spokesperson said, 'Stevie is doing well and in good spirits. He is eagerly looking forward to getting on stage on Monday.'
The band is set to play three sold-out shows at Buenos Aires' Monumental Stadium on 23, 27 and 31 March, as part of their Power Up world tour. The last time AC/DC performed in Argentina was in 2009, drawing nearly 200,000 fans.
Stevie Young has been the band's rhythm guitarist since 2014, replacing his uncle Malcolm Young, who stepped down due to health issues. The current lineup includes Brian Johnson, Angus Young, Matt Laug and Chris Chaney.
