Clive Owen, star of Our Yorkshire Farm, has shared emotional reflections on his health and future following his 70th birthday celebrations. During Monday's episode of Our Farm Next Door, the farmer received gifts from his daughters and former wife Amanda Owen, including sheep horns and a coat.
Speaking about his gratitude, Owen said: 'I'm very, very fortunate to still be well and still be doing things. Life has been great.' He added: 'I definitely feel privileged to have led the life, absolutely. It's such a strange thing, isn't it, to come out of a mining village in South Yorkshire and to end up here.'
The farmer also addressed the future of his farm, Ravenseat, expressing hope that one of his children might take over. 'It would be lovely to think that some of the children would take over and farm here at Ravenseat,' he said. 'And it would be lovely if my great-grandchildren are here in 100 years, wouldn't it? But whether they will, who knows?'
This is not the first time Owen has discussed succession plans. In a previous episode, he revealed: 'I am almost 70 now, so I have got to think about what comes next. It is something the family are discussing at the moment to see where the future lies for everyone.'
