Taylor Swift's highly anticipated album, The Life of a Showgirl, appears to have leaked online just hours before its official release. Fans flooded social media on Tuesday night claiming that low-quality audio of the tracks had surfaced on platforms like Discord.
Swifties were quick to share their excitement, with one fan describing the album as 'AMAZING' and comparing its production to Lover rather than 1989. Another declared it to be Swift's best pop album, despite the poor audio quality. Tracks such as 'The Fate of Ophelia' and 'CANCELLED!' were singled out as highlights.
However, not all reactions were positive. Some listeners speculated that the leak might be AI-generated, and one unimpressed critic questioned Swift's songwriting. Meanwhile, loyal fans urged restraint, asking others to wait for the official release to respect the artistry.
Swift and her team have not commented on the authenticity of the leak. The album, which is said to be inspired by her relationship with Travis Kelce and addresses recent drama, is set for release at midnight on October 3. A theatrical release party will also take place across 540 AMC theatres from October 3 to 5.
