Cat Deeley is reportedly set to join ITV's This Morning as a presenter, making her debut on the sofa alongside Rylan Clark on November 13. The 47-year-old TV personality and actress will co-host the show with Clark, who is currently guest-presenting alongside permanent host Josie Gibson.
Deeley's reported addition comes after Holly Willoughby left the programme last month for the sake of her family following a foiled kidnap and murder plot. Her departure followed Philip Schofield's exit in May after his affair with a young male showrunner was made public.
Deeley began her career as a co-presenter on ITV's children's show SMTV Live, winning a BAFTA Children's Award, and its spin-off chart show CD:UK. A source told The Sun: 'Cat is a seasoned pro and execs have been keen to get her in for a while. She takes live TV in her stride and is really witty and personable with guests.'
Bookmakers William Hill have installed Rylan Clark as the favourite to permanently replace Schofield and Willoughby, with odds of 5/4. Other contenders include Dermot O'Leary at 3/1 and Christine Lampard as the favourite to replace Willoughby. ITV and Deeley's representatives have been contacted for comment.
