Claudia Winkleman, 51, has revealed the secret behind her iconic fringe, which she has sported for over two decades. In resurfaced snaps from 1995, the Strictly Come Dancing host looks completely unrecognisable with sweeping blonde hair and no fringe.
The presenter, who was 23 at the time, wore her hair in a side parting, a stark contrast to her current jet-black locks and signature dark fringe. Winkleman has often joked about her hairstyle, naming her 2020 tour 'Behind The Fringe'.
During the tour, she quipped: 'People ask what I am hiding with my fringe — and it's a massive forehead that is repellent.' She also revealed that her fringe launched both her TV career and her sex life, saying: 'When I was 21 and a virgin, I got my fringe and everything started happening.'
Winkleman, known for her smudged black eyeliner and fake tan, has a simple beauty rule: 'Orange. Black. White.' She credits Kate Moss as her fashion inspiration, advising: 'When you leave the house just think 'What would Kate Moss do?''
