Netflix has confirmed that Outer Banks Season 5 will premiere on Thursday, August 20, 2026, bringing the hit treasure-hunting series to its epic conclusion.

Plot and Character Details

The final season will see the Pogues at their lowest point following the tragic death of JJ (Rudy Pankow) in Morocco. The crew are stranded far from home and mourning the loss of their friend whilst facing familiar threats.

Fans' favourite characters including Kiara (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), Cleo (Carlacia Grant), and Rafe (Drew Starkey) will return for one last adventure. However, JJ's killer – his own father Chandler Groff (J. Anthony Crane) – remains at large.
