Former Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice, 34, and his girlfriend Bianca Guaccero, 44, were spotted enjoying a romantic beach day at the Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados on Friday. The couple, who won the Italian version of Strictly together last year, were seen getting cosy in the ocean as they cooled off from the hot weather.
Giovanni, who will not return to the BBC competition this year after being left out of the line-up, showed off his toned physique in black swimming shorts. Bianca, an actress, wore a skimpy leopard print bikini as she wrapped her arms around her beau in the water. The pair later relaxed on a white inflatable lilo, with Giovanni playfully pushing her in the shallow water.
After their swim, the couple headed to outdoor showers to wash off the saltwater before settling on sunbeds. Giovanni applied sun lotion to Bianca's back, and they placed pink towels on their beds to relax. Bianca shielded her eyes with large sunglasses and a beige hat.
Giovanni has previously spoken about how Bianca has been 'very supportive' following the allegations made by Amanda Abbington, which were investigated by the BBC. He told Heat magazine: 'She came into my life during not the greatest time, so I needed some security.' The couple have made sacrifices to make their relationship work, as Bianca is based in Italy while Giovanni prepares to tour the UK.
Giovanni was notably absent from the cast list for this year's Strictly Come Dancing, which was revealed in August. The BBC investigation into his behaviour did not uphold claims of physical aggression or threatening behaviour, but complaints of verbal bullying and harassment led to an apology from the BBC. Giovanni said he was 'pleased the report has not found any evidence of threatening or abusive behaviour'.
