The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 delivered an exciting two-hour presentation, offering first looks at some of the platform's biggest upcoming releases. From the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day to a brand-new Spyro adventure, the event was packed with world premieres and release date confirmations. Xbox also celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special edition console, the X25, featuring a translucent design inspired by the original Xbox from 2001.
Gears of War: E-Day
Release date: October 6 (Open beta on August 6)
Gears of War: E-Day took center stage, showcasing the first-ever gameplay footage. The game depicts the moment the Locust Horde emerges from the underground. Notably, E-Day will be an Xbox console exclusive, marking a shift away from sharing major titles with PlayStation. It will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox on PC, cloud gaming, and Game Pass, with Xbox Play Anywhere support. Pre-orders grant early access to the Open Beta starting August 6.
Halo: Campaign Evolved
Release date: July 28
The remastered campaign of the original Halo arrives in just weeks. Halo: Campaign Evolved includes three new missions, with Operation: METEORITE revealed in the latest trailer. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
Release date: October 23

Developed by Infinity Ward, the game revives the DMZ mode, an extraction shooter experience first seen in 2022. Modern Warfare 4 launches on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox on PC, Battle.net, Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5, with cloud gaming and Play Anywhere support.
Senua
Release date: TBC 2027
A surprise reveal, Senua continues the Hellblade series with a "bold new step" according to Ninja Theory. The action-adventure gameplay forces tactical combat decisions as Senua navigates a fractured purgatory. The game arrives on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox on PC, Game Pass, and PlayStation 5.
Spyro: A Realm Beyond
Release date: Spring 2027
The first original Spyro game in nearly two decades features a new look but retains voice actor Tom Kenny. Developed by Toys for Bob, the game grants Spyro the ability to fly. It launches on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox on PC, cloud gaming, Steam, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
