Katie Price's husband, Lee Andrews, has allegedly failed to pay the bill for their wedding at a luxury Dubai hotel nearly two months after the ceremony. The former glamour model, 47, married Dubai-based businessman Lee, 41, in late January at the One&Only Royal Mirage hotel, just days after announcing their engagement.
Staff at the hotel, where rooms cost around £2,000 a night, have been left frustrated by the outstanding bill, which is believed to run into thousands of pounds. A source told The Daily Mail that Lee promised to settle the costs but has not yet done so. When approached, Lee insisted the bill was fully paid via an HSBC SMS, but he has not provided proof of payment.
Since the wedding, Lee has faced multiple accusations from ex-partners. His ex, Alana Percival, described him as a 'lying swindler who preys on women' and urged Katie to 'run for the hills'. It also emerged that Lee spent three weeks in jail in the UAE for allegedly forging his ex-girlfriend's signature to take out a £200,000 loan.
This weekend, The Sun reported that Lee had begged an American woman for £3,000 via voice notes days before proposing to Katie. In the notes, he claimed to be struggling financially and living off 20p packets of rice. The woman said he swore at her when she refused to send money. Lee has since warned followers about 'fake accounts sending fake voice notes'.
Despite the first ceremony not being legally binding, Katie and Lee have since held two legal ceremonies. The pair's wedding was not attended by family or friends.
