Scotland fans perform 'ancient ritual' on England fan in Boston pub. The Auld Enemy turned into more of an alliance after the Tartan Army took one England supporter under their wing.
England Fan Praises the Tartan Army in Boston
An England supporter has praised the Tartan Army for taking him "under their wing" after a "fantastic" experience in a Boston bar. The friendly bunch of Scots even performed an "ancient ritual" on the Auld Enemy fan as they accepted him as one of their own.
In a video shared on TikTok, the England fan who goes by Cunny on the platform, described the tongue-in-cheek "ritual" as the Tartan Army surrounded him. Cunny can be seen surrounded on the dancefloor as the Scotland fans link arms to Loch Lomond - or "the Scotland song" as Cunny called it. The group then haul him onto their shoulders and throw him into the air before catching him as they all party the night away.
Unforgettable Evening
Taking to TikTok after an evening not to forget, Cunny praised the Tartan Army for being "the friendliest bunch ever" and making "a fantastic city a hundred times better".
Cunny said: "Another great day in Boston. My time here has genuinely been unbelievable, like, this is probably the best city I have ever visited. But one set of people that I have to give credit to, that have made it better than it probably would've been without them, are the Scottish fans - the Tartan Army. They have been unbelievable, dead friendly and welcomed me in. Even today, after England whooped Croatia 4-2 - which by the way, what a performance in that second half. I entered a Scotland pub afterwards. It was full of them, absolutely full of them. Three Scottish lads from the hostel took me in, took me under their wing. The Scotland song came on and they all put me in the middle like I was some performing monkey. Obviously, I played up to it - I was the performing monkey and they all started lifting me up in the air and throwing me in the air and catching me as if I was some kind of hero. No trouble whatsoever, not one bit of trouble, honestly. Genuinely, they've been the friendliest bunch ever. They have made what is already a fantastic city a hundred times better. Fair play to the Tartan Army."
