Tyson Fury has revealed his frugal approach to spending, despite pocketing an estimated £19 million from his recent victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov. The 37-year-old boxer was spotted taking a budget LoganAir flight from London City Airport to his home on the Isle of Man, with tickets costing as little as £40.
Speaking in 2023, Fury admitted to being cautious with his finances, opting to shop at budget supermarkets such as Aldi and Lidl. 'When I'm in Aldi and my kids are shouting, 'He's shopping in Aldi,' and then the people say, 'You're shopping in Aldi or Lidl,' I'm like, 'Well, it's food, isn't it?' he said. 'I'm not gonna pay £3.50 for a pack of KitKats that's usually on offer, no way! No matter how much money I've got I just won't do it because it's not in me to do so.'
In 2019, Fury told the BBC that money does not bring him happiness, despite his estimated net worth of £120 million. 'I might sound like a hypocrite here but I really don't care - there's only a certain amount you can spend in life,' he said. 'I have found true happiness within myself.'
Fury relocated to the Isle of Man in late 2025, purchasing an £8 million home near the capital, Douglas. The move came after a worrying incident with an intruder at his previous home in Morecambe, Lancashire. 'I looked at moving abroad, but it turned out that the Isle of Man is the perfect place for me,' Fury said. 'It's English-speaking, has English pound notes, and I can get an English newspaper from the local petrol station with my coffee and speak my own lingo.'
