She stated, "I think having an Instagram husband is the reason why I grew when other people didn't back then. We didn't get paid for it, so I couldn't hire anyone to take my photo." This partnership allowed her to produce the high-quality, consistent content that her audience craved.

"I'd be like, where are we going to shoot today?" she recalled. "We would drive into central London, usually like South Ken and Chelsea, where the pretty houses were. We would do a little street style shoot and then he'd drive to Canary Wharf and I would get a train home."

Their story, however, has recently been marked by a significant health challenge. John, 64, is currently battling stage three cancer. After receiving chemotherapy in April 2023, the illness later progressed to his brain and adrenal gland.
Thankfully, Lorna shared a positive update earlier this year. "John's scans came back; his brain is clear of any cancer," she revealed, adding that his oncologist has approved an operation on the tumour on his adrenal gland. In a recent Instagram story, she posted an adorable photo of John, writing, "He's looking (and feeling) so good atm... there's deffo an angel looking down on us."
