Plot

Half Man tells the story of Niall and Ruben, who are brothers "not related in blood but the closest you can get." Ruben is fierce and loyal, while Niall is meek and mild-mannered. They become inseparable as teenagers. However, when Ruben arrives at Niall's wedding three decades later, he appears on edge and shifty. An explosion of violence ensues, catapulting the narrative back through their lives from the 1980s to the present day. The series examines brotherhood, violence, and the fragility of male relationships, highlighting that sometimes the closest bonds break the hardest.

Half Man is now streaming on BBC iPlayer and airs on BBC One from April 28.
