Trinny Woodall has vowed not to 'disappear' as she ages and has admitted that she is 'never happy' despite the success of her £200 million beauty empire. The entrepreneur, 62, spoke candidly about ageing in a new interview, revealing how she is prioritising her health and wellness as she gets older.
Defying Ageing Norms
Speaking to Good Housekeeping UK, Trinny expressed her disdain for the phrase 'can't you just age gracefully?' insisting that 'there should be no rules' when it comes to growing older. She argued that energy, not age, determines how often women are noticed. 'When women are tired, we disappear. When we're full of energy, people notice us,' she said.
Trinny also opened up about her family medical history, stating: 'I'm very aware that my mum died of Alzheimer's and she also had osteoporosis – I want to be able-bodied, rather than incapacitated, so I'm doing everything I can to stay well.'
Never Satisfied Despite Success
Despite owning the multimillion-pound brand Trinny London, the fashion icon confessed she is never fully satisfied. 'I'm never happy. I'm not unhappy, because it's important to acknowledge how far we've come,' she explained.
10-Minute Workout Regime
Earlier this week, Trinny flaunted her incredible abs while sharing the secrets to her 10-minute workout routine. In a video posted to fans, she demonstrated exercises on a vibrating plate, which she credits for aiding her lymphatic system and bone density. 'I haven't done exercise for a week. And it makes me think, you know, I just want to keep the energy that I get from exercise,' she said.
Her workout includes calf raises and arm raises, with advice to keep eyes on a fixed point for balance. She also highlighted the plate's benefits for those with a family history of osteoporosis.
Body Positivity and Self-Care
Speaking to Glossy last month, Trinny reflected on her evolving relationship with her body. 'My relationship with my body has been different over each decade, depending on how much I loved myself. When I didn't love myself, I negated my body,' she said. She now emphasises nurturing her body and listening to its needs, stating: 'I really nurture my body. I try and think, 'What does it need this month?' ... Your relationship with your body [should be] strong.'
Recent Travel and Birthday
Trinny recently returned from a trip to India, where she shared holiday photos showcasing her toned physique. She also celebrated her 62nd birthday in February with friends, displaying her ageless complexion.
