Retired IT Consultant Wins Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

Retired IT consultant Roman Dubowski has become the seventh winner of the iconic game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire during the opening episode of its 35th series on ITV. The show's producers have hinted that two contestants will reach the final £1 million question in the new series.

Having applied for the show three times over more than two decades, Roman described simply making it onto the programme as an achievement in itself. He managed to reach the final £1 million question with two lifelines remaining, and had one spare—Ask The Host—as he confidently answered the 15th question within two minutes of seeing it flash up on screen.

It was a shaky start, however, as the contestant stumbled on the £1,000 question and had to use his Ask The Audience lifeline. The questions covered topics including history, theatre, mayonnaise, and Harry Potter.
