Marks & Spencer has launched a new range of Secret Support vests that are gaining popularity as the UK enjoys warmer weather. These vests, priced at £12.50 each, feature unwired bra cups for hidden coverage and lift, solving the common summer problem of exposed bra straps under tank tops.
Competing with Uniqlo
The success of these tops is largely attributed to Uniqlo's Sleeveless Bra Tops, which have been on the market since 2008 and pioneered the hidden support feature. Uniqlo's version costs £19.90 and is available in seven shades with inclusive sizing. M&S has followed suit with its cheaper Secret Support vests, available in sizes 6 to 24 and seven shades ranging from neutrals to black and grey.

Shoppers have been enthusiastic about the M&S vests. One reviewer wrote: "These secret support tops are very supportive and give you a smooth figure under tight fitting dresses. They are long so cover well. I bought all colours in a size 10 my normal size. Very good."
Another added: "Love these bra vests. Bought one in the pink and have now purchased another six, they're just what I was looking for with enough support but still very comfortable. I'm a size 18."
A third customer said: "I love this product! It’s comfortable, I can wear it all day, it fits really well with good support and gives me a reasonably good ‘uplift’/outline. It has also washed well."
However, one reviewer noted a minor issue: "Sizing a little small around the bust and tummy."
