Asda Launches Two New Ben & Jerry's Flavours: Jam Doughnut & Churros
New Ben & Jerry's flavours land at Asda

British ice cream lovers have a delicious reason to brave the winter chill, as supermarket giant Asda has begun stocking two brand new and indulgent flavours from the iconic brand Ben & Jerry's.

A Sweet Sensation for Every Taste

The launch, which has generated significant buzz on social media, caters to both fruit and chocolate enthusiasts. The first new tub is called Strawberry Doughnut-eee, a direct homage to the classic British jam doughnut. It features strawberry and cream flavoured ice cream packed with doughnut-style chunks and a jammy strawberry swirl.

The playful product description promises to "satisfy your doughnut craving" with "un-dough-niably tasty chunks and strawberry-licious swirls".

Churros-Inspired Chocolate Bliss

For those with a preference for richer, spiced flavours, the second offering is Churrifically Churros-y. This creation is based on the beloved fried-dough treat, churros. It combines caramel ice cream with churros-style chunks, pieces of cinnamon sugar, and decadent chocolate swirls.

Ben & Jerry's describes this flavour as an "irresistible, churro-licious cinnamony bliss", inviting customers to "dig into a celebration of sweet, churros-inspired satisfaction in every scoop".

Customer Excitement and Nostalgic Pleas

The announcement on the New Foods UK social media pages quickly amassed hundreds of likes, with shoppers expressing their eagerness to try the innovative combinations. One commenter noted, "These actually look pretty good," while another appreciated the departure from common mix-ins, saying, "Finally something that’s not just caramel or cookies / brownie pieces."

However, the launch has also prompted some fans to voice a longing for discontinued favourites. Several customers expressed a desire for the return of classic flavours like Birthday Cake, Cherry Garcia, and Baked Alaska, with one person humorously stating they would "sell a kidney" for the return of the birthday cake variant.

The new 500ml tubs are available now at Asda and via Ocado for a special introductory price of £3.75. The launch proves that even in January, the demand for premium, inventive ice cream remains strong in the UK.
