London's Newest Christmas Market: Foodie Reveals 1 Dish That 'Blew Her Away'
Foodie's top pick at London's new Christmas market revealed

A self-proclaimed Christmas market expert has singled out the one must-try festive dish at a brand-new London holiday attraction. Food content creator Yara took to TikTok to share her detailed reviews after visiting the freshly launched Christmas market near Tottenham Court Road, curated by Eating With Tod.

The Standout Star: A Savoury Doughnut Sensation

After tasting a total of ten different items—comprising seven main courses and three desserts—Yara declared a clear winner. Her top pick was the Christmas pork doughnut from The Ashes. On her account @yarafoodienew, she enthusiastically stated that the unique creation "blew her away," praising its "perfect combination of sweet, smoky flavour."

She highlighted the market's focus on quality, telling her followers: "London’s newest Christmas market focuses on quality food vendors. You’ll find such a great variety of cuisines and options here."

A Tour of Savoury Highlights and Sweet Treats

Yara's culinary tour included a diverse range of vendors. She sampled a raclette bowl from Jumi Cheese, topped with venison and wild boar, and noted they offered four different raclette varieties, from which she chose a mix of rosemary and chilli.

Other savoury highlights received strong praise:

  • The Truffle Burger was described as "so juicy" with a fresh truffle taste.
  • The goose from The Duck Shed, served with raclette cheese and sweet relish, earned a "very Christmassy" verdict.
  • A classic steak and chips with chimichurri from Beast & Field was deemed "tender" and well-loved.
  • The jalapeño and cheese sausage from Ruben’s Reubens was "very juicy and cheesy for sure."
  • She also enjoyed a Jamaican-Turkish fusion dish from Jurkish Box, calling it "the ultimate comfort food."

Indulgent Desserts to Complete the Feast

No festive visit is complete without dessert, and Yara made sure to sample the sweet offerings. She tried a Biscoff cinnamon roll from Roll Boys, complimenting the creamy, fresh frosting and the soft, warm bun.

From the renowned Bread Ahead, she picked up three doughnuts—pistachio, honeycomb, and crème brûlée—all of which she said contained a "generous creamy filling."

To finish, she warmed up with a hot chocolate from Chin Chin Desserts, topped with large toasted marshmallows. She noted it was "super sweet, but it balances well because the hot chocolate itself isn’t as sweet."

Busy But Efficient Festive Atmosphere

In comments responding to her followers, Yara addressed the market's popularity. She confirmed it was "so packed" when she visited in the afternoon. However, she reassured potential visitors that despite the crowds, waiting times were surprisingly short, with no queue exceeding five minutes during her trip.

One amused follower joked about the cost of such an extensive tasting session, commenting: "Girl, I know you blew a bag there." The market, located just outside Tottenham Court Road station, continues to operate offering these gourmet festive treats.
