LEGOLAND Windsor Invites Dogs to Meet Father Christmas at Paws in the Park
LEGOLAND Windsor opens to dogs for festive Paws in the Park

Families in the UK can now include their beloved pets in their festive celebrations, thanks to a special initiative from LEGOLAND Windsor Resort. The famous theme park is opening its doors to four-legged visitors for two exclusive dates this December.

Paws in the Park: A Festive First for Dogs

On Saturday, December 21 and Saturday, December 28, LEGOLAND will host its 'Paws in the Park' event. This marks a rare opportunity for dogs to accompany their owners into the heart of the park's Christmas festivities. While the brick-based attractions might not typically appeal to pups, the chance for a grand festive walk and new smells is an exciting prospect for any canine.

During the day, dogs on leads can explore the park's Christmas Village and pathways while their human families enjoy over 20 rides, live Christmas shows, and the Elf Training Academy. The park's Christmas at LEGOLAND programme runs until January 4, transforming the resort into a vibrant, brick-built winter wonderland.

Meeting Santa Paws: A Canine Christmas Wish

The festive highlight for many pooches will be a personal audience with Father Christmas. After 5pm, Santa's Grotto within the Christmas Kingdom will welcome dogs hoping to share their Christmas wishes with Santa Paws himself. It's the perfect photo opportunity for pet owners and a unique experience for well-behaved dogs on the 'nice list'.

To bring a dog, owners must purchase a £10 Pet Pass in addition to standard human admission tickets. The park has set some essential rules: all dogs must remain on a lead at all times, and owners are required to bring their own dog food and snacks. Water stations will be available throughout the park for thirsty pups.

Festive Fun for the Whole Family

Beyond the canine-centric activities, LEGOLAND's Christmas offering is in full swing. Key rides like The Dragon rollercoaster and the LEGO City Driving School remain open. Younger children will delight in the DUPLO Dino Coaster and a scenic trip on the LEGOLAND Express train.

Visitors can also meet Santa and his elves in LEGO form before the real grotto visit, with every child receiving a special LEGO gift. The entertainment lineup includes the Festival of Flurries musical show and roaming performances by the Nutcracker's Marching Band, playing brass versions of classic carols.

A heartwarming initiative, the Build to Give workshop, allows guests to construct a LEGO heart. For every heart built, the LEGO Group donates a set to a child in need, spreading festive cheer beyond the park gates.

LEGOLAND Windsor is one of four LEGO-themed parks in Europe, with others located in Billund, Denmark (the birthplace of LEGO), Germany, and elsewhere. Recently, LEGOLAND Deutschland announced plans for a major new Harry Potter land, featuring themed rides and accommodation, with more details expected within the next year.
