Tragically, when she moved too close, the leopard lunged forward, biting her in the face and knocking her to the ground.
Footage that circulated widely on Chinese social media platforms depicted the leopard initially lingering in an open snowfield before approaching a person lying on the ground. Subsequent clips showed a group of individuals carrying away the injured tourist, who was shielding her face; her clothing and helmet were visibly stained with blood. A ski instructor reportedly intervened during the attack, successfully driving the animal away and preventing further harm.

The victim sustained serious facial injuries but was later transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment. Hangzhou Daily confirmed that her condition was subsequently reported as stable, offering some reassurance amidst the alarming event.
