Three British hotels have scooped top honours at the prestigious UK Pool and Spa Awards, often dubbed the 'Oscars' of the aquatic leisure industry.
A Celebration of Aquatic Excellence
The ceremony, now in its 15th year, was held in Birmingham on Thursday, 11 December 2025. Organised by industry experts Waterland Media, the awards celebrate the finest wellness and water leisure facilities across the nation, with 250 entries competing this year. From this impressive field, 36 projects were ultimately recognised, with three hotel spas standing out as winners.
Winning Retreats: From Woodland Views to Lavender Beds
In Northern Ireland, The Old Inn secured an award for its Sunken or Semi-Sunken Hot Tub Project of the Year. Its Treetop Spa, crafted by One Pool & Spa, features an outdoor hot tub nestled within wooden decking, offering guests breathtaking views of the surrounding forest.
Similarly, Cheshire's Manor House Hotel triumphed in the same category. Also designed by One Pool & Spa, its sunken, table-top hydrotherapy tub is maintained at a soothing 36°C and is encircled by fragrant lavender beds. The spa complex is extensive, boasting day beds, a swim-up bar, a heated outdoor vitality pool, and a salt steam chamber.
Double Victory for a Bathside Haven
The final hotel winner achieved a remarkable double victory. Bath's Homewood Hotel was awarded in both the Health & Wellness Project Of The Year and Best Swimming Pool in a Hospitality Setting categories. Its facilities, designed by Buckingham Pools, include an indoor hydrotherapy pool, an outdoor vitality pool, and a heated outdoor swimming pool. The spa also offers an indoor and outdoor steam room alongside a comprehensive menu of treatments.
These awards highlight the UK's thriving luxury wellness sector, showcasing hotels that provide exceptional, design-led experiences for relaxation and rejuvenation.
