Emergency Response at Cave of Waves
Emergency services were called to WhiteWater World on the Gold Coast at approximately 2pm on Friday following reports of a serious 'post-immersion incident'. Upon arrival, they discovered a tourist, whose identity remains undisclosed, in a life-threatening condition after being pulled from the park's Cave of Waves pool.

The patient, aged in their 30s, received immediate first aid from the park's highly trained lifeguards before being assessed by paramedics at the scene. The Queensland Ambulance Service attended promptly, stabilising the individual before rushing them to Gold Coast University Hospital for further urgent testing and treatment.
Park Management Prioritises Guest Safety

'Our highly trained lifeguards responded immediately, and Queensland Ambulance Service attended the scene promptly,' the statement read. It further emphasised that 'The safety and wellbeing of our guests and team members is our highest priority, and we are assisting emergency services as required.'
