Two arrested after £10m drugs seized in Glasgow

Police in Glasgow have made one of the largest drug recoveries in Scottish history, seizing narcotics with an estimated street value of £10 million and arresting two men.

Major Raid in Shettleston

The significant find occurred on Sunday 21 December 2025, when officers executed a search warrant at a property on Balintore Street in the Shettleston area of Glasgow. During the operation, a substantial quantity of both cocaine and heroin was discovered and confiscated.

Arrests and Court Appearance

Following the raid, two men, aged 43 and 22, were arrested and charged in connection with the massive haul. Both individuals are scheduled to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday 22 December. Police have confirmed that further inquiries into the matter are ongoing.

Police Vow to Disrupt Drug Supply

Assistant Chief Constable Stuart Houston hailed the seizure as a major blow to organised crime networks. He stated that this recovery, alongside other major seizures in December, underscores Police Scotland's unwavering commitment to removing dangerous drugs from communities.

"Drugs cause nothing but misery in our communities and we are dedicated to disrupting the activities of those involved in their supply," Houston said. He emphasised that such actions highlight the force's priority of tackling drug-related harm and its dedication to the national Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

The senior officer also issued a call to the public, describing community information as the "lifeblood" of such operations. He urged anyone with information or concerns about drug activity to contact Police Scotland on 101 or to make an anonymous report to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
